Kobo Aura-how to use Wifi&Calibre?

Hello,

I'm new to ereader world (and to this forum), so please pardon my ignorance ;).

Recently I bought the Kobo Aura and used Calibre to upload some books. Connection via cable worked perfectly - device is detected and everything works fine.

But when I tried to use the WiFi connection, nothing happened.
I can tell it works because it synced with my Kobo account, so there is nothing wrong here.

Is there a way to see my Aura in Calibre using the Wifi (similar to cable connection)?

I did check that it is possible to access the Calibre remotely using the web browser (set it as a server and so on - tried and it works), but surely there is a simpler (and quicker) way?

I'm not sure whether it is relevant or not, but anyway - when selecting reader I chose generic, no additional plugins installed. Also nothing with the reader.
